Experiential Learning for Growth

Laurel Psychodrama Training Institute

Paula Catalan Bayon serves as an Adjunct Faculty Co-Trainer for the LPTI Learning Community Cohorts and Special Topic Trainings at the Laurel Psychodrama Training Institute. Alongside Cathy Nugent, she provides year-round training opportunities, equipping mental health professionals with the skills to integrate psychodrama into their therapeutic practice. Through interactive and experiential learning, these workshops offer participants hands-on experience in using psychodrama techniques for deep emotional healing and personal transformation.

Psychodrama is a powerful, action-based therapeutic approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. By engaging in guided dramatic methods, clients can safely explore emotions, relationships, and past experiences in a way that fosters insight, self-expression, and personal growth. This immersive technique helps individuals process trauma, break unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies, leading to meaningful and lasting change. Whether used in individual, group, or family therapy, psychodrama creates a dynamic space for healing, connection, and self-discovery.
